The tourism in Italy prefers the cultural destinations: about 33,8% of all visitors and almost 44% of foreign tourists choose art cities for their tours in Italy. The destinations more visited are in Latium (50,4%), in Tuscany(28,8%), in Veneto (10,4%), in Sicily (9,4%), in Sardinia (2,5%), in Campania (2,5%).
The preferences direct to art cities surpass the sea places: in fact the cultural destinations welcome 29 millions tourists (33,8%) meanwhile the sea localities receive 20 miilion tourists (23,3%). This tendence is balanced from average stays: in the historic art cities the tourist stand is of 2,8 days, in the sea localities 5,5 days.
The tourists interested to cultural cities come mostly from Germany, Great Britain, Usa, France and is oriented not just to most famous cities, but also to smaller destination. The cultural tourism is more distributed in all seasons of year and is characterized from incoming flux with good expense capacity. |
